What is Associa Cares Canada?
Associa Cares Canada is the charitable affiliate of Associa. It is a CRA-certified charity with the goal of providing financial assistance to people who lose their residences due to natural or man-made disasters.
What types of disasters does Associa Cares Canada help with?
Associa Cares Canada’s goal is to aid individuals who experience damage or loss of their residence due to a natural or man-made disaster. We provide financial grants to assist those whose home, apartment, or condominium has been damaged by events like fire, flood, tornados, or another qualifying event.
Do I need to be a client of Associa to apply for assistance?
No, Associa Cares Canada provides support for qualified individuals regardless of whether they reside in an Associa-managed community.
How do I apply for assistance?
Applying for assistance is easy. You will be required to fill out a form and provide information that will be used to verify the event and your qualification. Please follow these steps:

- Submit the completed request form and attachments/links to supporting documents (fire report, newspaper article, web article, pictures, etc.).

How do requests get processed?
The request and supporting documents are reviewed, and once your request is complete, the board of directors will vote on approval. If approved by a majority vote, you will be contacted by an Associa Cares Canada team member to verify where to send the funds. If your request is not approved, you will be promptly notified by a committee member.
The request process typically takes 10-14 business days from the time we receive your request and backup documentation to the time the monetary assistance is mailed to the recipient. It sometimes takes longer, but we strive to turn everything around as quickly as possible.
Do medical, financial, or other issues qualify for Associa Cares Canada assistance?
Unfortunately, Associa Cares Canada cannot help persons in financial need due to personal or medical issues. The only exception is if the issue is due to a natural or man-made disaster. If you are unsure if your request qualifies, please do not hesitate to email your request to info@associacares.org.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Donations to Associa Cares Canada are tax deductible under current tax laws.
Does Associa Cares Canada provide aid outside of Canada?
Associa Cares Canada can provide assistance to events in the United States and other parts of the world, provided the event would otherwise qualify for disaster assistance under the Associa Cares mission.
