Funded entirely by tax-deductible donations from Associa employees and concerned citizens across North America, we administer resources where they’re most needed. We help people get back on their feet and recover as quickly as possible.

What we do

Associa Cares Canada administers funds to assist families and communities in crisis as a result of natural and man-made disasters. Relief assistance is primarily administered directly to individuals and families. In special circumstances, funds are distributed to other nonprofit organizations to support ground-level disaster recovery and rescue efforts. Associa Cares Canada recognizes that at the core of a qualifying disaster is the direct impact on the well-being and health of the people affected. Because of this, Associa Cares Canada provides relief to a variety of disasters.

Testimonials

We know our city is at its best when people work together to solve big problems. The City of Toronto and its agencies responded to a six-alarm fire on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 650 Parliament St. One hundred firefighters and 26 firetrucks responded and evacuated the building. As a result, approximately 1,500 residents found themselves suddenly unable to return home. Fortunately, the city and its agencies had community partners like Associa Cares that helped provide the necessary support to the displaced residents. Our neighbours needed us to help them through a very difficult time. The residents, community agencies, and local businesses met this challenge with compassion and generosity and made this tremendous and critical response possible. Partners like Associa Cares make Toronto a world-class city we’re all proud to call home. On behalf of the residents of 650 Parliament St. and the City of Toronto, thank you.

Hamilton Food Share will continue to stay open because of Associa Cares’ help. Thanks to you, we are responding to the changing needs in our community and escalating needs we know will come. While demands on our organization have increased, so has the support from [organizations] like you in our local community. Your support has also enabled our organization to develop new programs to meet the expected rise in demand for emergency food. You are helping us to build pathways to the doors of our most vulnerable – our seniors, the sick, people with mobility issues, and the disabled.

Whenever I see the name written or hear the name ‘Associa Cares,’ I instantly experience a positive feeling. I immediately remember how generous and supporting Associa Cares was for us all.

The people of British Columbia once again faced an extreme weather emergency on a massive scale. A severe storm resulted in flooding, landslides, power outages, and other incidents across the southern coastal and interior regions of the province. Associa Cares’ generous donation helped our teams provide emergency support to those forced to flee their homes in the face of this devastation. Thank you for your compassion during this difficult time.
